Microsoft y Google copian a Sourceforge.net
Una vez más, la firma de Redmond copia una idea ya existente y la integra con sus tecnologías y soluciones. CodePlex es la versión de Microsoft del servicio que ofrece SourceForge.net.
Sourceforge ofrece alojamiento y una serie de utilidades y servicios a los creadores de código abierto como listas de correo, bugtracking, foros, etc. que les facilita el poder ofrecer al mundo mundial sus creaciones. Proyectos tan conocidos como: emule, phpmyadmin, gaim, aMsn, filezilla, tightvnc o Yapig 
utilizan Sourceforge como hosting. Pues bien, ahora Microsoft en Codeplex ofrece el mismo servicio, no obstante, echando un ojo a los proyectos que alberga se ve que suelen hacer uso de las tecnologías de esta compañía, lo cuál les resulta beneficioso para divulgar aún más sus productos.
Por su lado, Google también ofrece el mismo servicio a los creadores de código en Google Code.
